Dream: Business and Home on the Mountain
Business
I dreamed I was inside a department store. The store had many different departments like household items, clothing, hygiene products, toiletries, food, and others. I was being trained with a group of believers about how to run the business. We were young and this was our first professional training. The owner of the business was a relative of everyone in the group. He had sent us there to receive training on how to run his business. There were about 20 to 30 people in the group all in our late 20s and early 30s. Some of the people were friends of mine from high school. We walked inside of the store from the back storage area where our training room was located. To my left were the household items, hygiene products, paper goods, snack foods, toiletries, and other general store merchandise. I could also see the front of the store where the cash registers were located. This part of the store looked like Target. To my right was the clothing department which had a more professional design like Macy’s Department Store.
After the training the instructor gave each of us a wrapped package like a Christmas present to take to the shelves in the store. We were free to decide where to place it. I did not stop to think about where to put the package. I quickly turned to my left and walked down one of the main aisles to the closest shelf where I could put it. Then I turned to my right and placed the package on the top shelf of a display. There were picture frames and clocks in this row. A girl was putting hers on a shelf to my right on the same row. The store had a few customers shopping from the community. There was a woman in her 50s quietly shopping between the girl and I. There was also an old man in his 60s slowly pushing a shopping cart behind us. The store was quiet and peaceful. The customers had shopped there for many years and enjoyed coming there. They were faithful customers. I had the impression it was a store the entire community supported. The package had a book in it with the message of the Gospel. The packages were put on the shelves for people to freely pick up as a gift. It was the new book by Charles Newbold, “Stepping into the Circle.” The goal of the store was not focused on profit but on taking care of the customers. They wanted to ensure the store provided for their needs. Their goal was to provide excellent service and low prices.
After we had all placed our books in the store we gathered together one more time with the instructor in the clothing department. He was in his early 40s and had been working for the business for about 10 years. He was very knowledgeable about the business and had started working for the store the same way we had started. He was excited and confident in establishing us in the business. He then dismissed us and the training was complete. We had learned the wisdom of running the business and how to apply the principles in our lives. We were expected to practice these principles. We all walked out together through a door in the front right of the store and were all going to the same home.
House
The group was coming back from the training to a large home like a mansion located on a mountain. There were oak trees, green bushes, vines, flowers, and other garden plants around the home. I saw people standing at the front door talking so I came around to the side door. As I came in I saw an old man in his 60s or 70s walk outside to talk with the young people on the front porch. One was a friend of mine with blond hair from middle school and high school. The old man also lived in the home. They all had a toy in their hand that looked like a small wooden stick with a human head on the top. The old man was trying to gain their attention to show off his toy to them. I knew he was trying to maintain a position of importance in the household. He felt like he had missed out on something in the Lord by not going to the training. I knew they were walking in the flesh and I became indignant with them. I knew the old man and the young people were not fully aware of the spirit they were moving in.
Garden
The scene changed and I was outside the home working in the garden. There were about 100 young people who lived in this home. They were all appointed into groups like tribes. When a new person comes into the home, they too are appointed to a group.
The groups were divided based on their common abilities or skills. There was a worship group, a carpentry group, a cooking group, and many others. Each group took responsibility for the task they were gifted to do. They would also help with other responsibilities around the home such as helping cook dinner or cleaning the house. The groups also had privileges in the home. They rotated privileges such as worshiping together. There were designated areas around the home to do certain things such as worship.
I was finishing my work in the garden pruning the plants, cleaning out brush and weeds, maintaining the soil, and making sure the plants were growing healthy. (I had a dream a few weeks back where the Lord taught me the wisdom of the gardener.) The carpenters were on the back porch working on a project and others walking quietly around the home enjoying the day. I walked toward the front door to come inside and I saw the worship group worshiping the Lord in the living room. They were deep in the Spirit and I could see him moving like a cloud in their midst. They were sitting on the floor together with a person leading them in front. They had a few instruments and were singing together. I did not want to disturb them so I decided to go around to the back door. As I was watching them worship my heart was filled with joy. Then the dream ended.
Impression:
The store looked like Target. The emblem for Target is a target like one you shoot an arrow at. This is a picture the Lord has been showing us for a few years.
Target also looks like Wal-Mart inside. Sun had told me to read a book a couple years ago about how Wal-Mart was established and reminded me to read it the day after I had this dream. I knew the training was to teach us how to run the business and to practice the principles we learned in our everyday life.
The group of young people lived at the home like a family and it was very peaceful. There was order in the home and everyone delightfully fulfilled their responsibilities. It was a joy for them to do their work because it was what they were created to do and they enjoyed doing it.
