Home in the Valley

I laid down to pray to the Lord this afternoon because my heart was troubled about some things. As I was resting I had a dream. I saw a home in a valley of white rocks. There was a small creek running through the valley and it had very little vegetation. I was in the home taking care of responsibilities when I suddenly felt a strong urge in my heart to leave the home and get to high ground. I felt the first urge and was unsure if I was supposed to leave but then I felt a second urge which quickly convinced me that I needed to leave now. I ran and leaped up the right side of the valley to the mountain top like a gazelle. When I reached the top of the valley I immediately heard a voice say, “Look at what is coming!” I turned and looked into the valley to see a mighty rushing river of water coming down from the mountain toward the home. I saw it curve left, and then right as it came down the mountain before it was going to flood the home. In my heart I thought, “What was I doing in the home?” At that moment the scene froze and the water stood still. I was taken down in the Spirit to the home to see what I was doing.

Inside the Home

The scene started with me standing in the back yard of the home with my mom and dad. The yard was full of white rocks both large and small. There were people walking around buying and selling items in the yard and inside the home. Most of the people casually knew one another through living in the same community. Some had closer relationships through work or church. As I was standing outside I saw a black business chair that I considered purchasing. After I saw it, my parents asked me a question and I turned to answer them. Then I turned back toward the chair and saw that it had been purchased by a man in his 70s. He was partly bald and was overweight. After he purchased the chair, he sat down in it. I noticed that the chair had turned into a motorized wheel chair. He needed it to get around because he had trouble walking. I recognized that the reason he had trouble walking was because he did not want to walk. He wanted to move around using a motorized wheel chair. I knew that if he would have exercised that he would have been able to walk.

Some time had passed and many of the people had left. My parents and I had walked out of the home. To the right of the home was another building which was the garage. We walked toward the door that led to the garage because I knew we were getting ready to leave. As we were walking my mom tried to initiate a conversation with me about Psalm 24. She mentioned something that Sun had told me about the meaning of the Psalm. She did not know the true meaning and casually used it as a topic to talk about. She irreverently mentioned it and did not think about what it really meant. She had a concerned look on her face. She was trying to make an effort to build our relationship. I knew that my relationship with the Lord was growing and the level at which we could relate had changed. I still had love toward them but she still seemed to be worried.

I opened the door leading to the garage and saw that the north wall across from us and the west wall to our left were missing. On the ground in the rocks I saw a file folder with a few papers in it. It was a little crumpled and was wet from a small stream that part of the paper was lying in. I saw that Psalm 24 was written on the paper inside. After I saw this the dream ended.
